1. Ice is cold. This is a fact. This is because even from the bottom of our minds when we hear of the word ice then we think of coldness and even we say as cold as ice. It can be measured with a thermometer to determine the material facts.

2. She is prettier than her. That is an opinion. This is because prettiness lies in the eyes of the beholder. Different will have different degrees of measure of prettiness and therefore none can be said as the truth.

3. Science is easier than mathematics. This is an opinion. This is because mathematics is the language of science in this modern era. Therefore, in my own views Science is harder than mathematics because science is purely observation and experimentation and for students who understand mathematical reasoning and logic, mathematics is easier because everything in mathematics makes sense, is logically supported, and can be clearly explained. In addition, mathematics is equally important and essential to the formulation of that knowledge. Language has its own importance in communication and without mathematics, it's very difficult.
