Question (a)

Code of ethics is a direction of values intended to help professionals carry out business hotly and with truthfulness. Codes of ethics perform several key roles in a profession. First, it guides individual behavior, second, they avoid misbehavior that would hurt other people in the society finally it allows members of the profession to find out if a person is acting unethically and take steps appropriately to safeguard the reputation of the profession. In addition code of ethics enables an individual to identify a profession mentioning what ethical practitioners practice and do not practice in their jobs. For example, financial advisers are officially vaulted to a code of ethics known as a fiduciary responsibility. This code requires them to behave with the best attention of their clients. Further certified public accountants are likely to follow related ethical values of integrity, truthfulness, and objectivity.

The maximum goal is to attain the maximum pleasure for as several people as achievable by Jeremy Bentham (1748-1832) means that what is morally required is that which leads to the most important amount of happiness for the utmost number of people. It also means that happiness is determined by the orientation of pleasure and deficiency of pain. It emphasized that anything which does not take full advantage of the greatest happiness is therefore immoral. The acceptability of manners in commerce is resolute by not only the association but also members and therefore the public sector's norms are which portray how an organization's ethics are observed.

Encourage clearness and access to information. Liberty of the press, transparency, and access to the information enables the exposition of evil deeds in government office minimizing the intensity of corruption in Africa. Access to information also increases the reaction of the government administrator, while at the same time having a positive influence on the level of public involvement in the country.

Citizen’s empowerment. By empowering citizens and strengthening their demands for anti-corruption to embrace government answerable is a sustainable approach that assists to construct mutual integrity between citizens and the government. For example, community monitoring initiatives have played a major role in detecting corruption, leakage of funds, and improvement of value and extent of public services.
