Assume that one wall can have one paint. That way, you have 6 choices to paint the first wall, multiplied by 6 choices for the second wall, multiplied by 6 choices for the third wall, and multiplied by 6 choices for the fourth wall, i.e.

"6\\times6\\times6\\times6=6^4=1296"
