null and alternative hypothesis of the problem
Solution:
Null and alternative hypotheses are used in statistical hypothesis testing. The null hypothesis of a test always predicts no effect or no relationship between variables, while the alternative hypothesis states your research prediction of an effect or relationship. In other words, A null hypothesis is a statement, in which there is no relationship between two variables. An alternative hypothesis is statement in which there is some statistical significance between two measured phenomenon. Example:
Null Hypothesis: On the average, the dosage sold under this brand is 50 mg (population mean dosage = 50 mg). Alternative Hypothesis: On the average, the dosage sold under this brand is not 50 mg (population mean dosage ≠ 50 mg). This is a two-sided alternative hypothesis.
