If a random variable XX is exponentially distributed with rate λ,λ, then

E(X)=1λ,Var(X)=σ2=(1λ)2E(X)=\dfrac{1}{\lambda}, Var(X)=\sigma^2=(\dfrac{1}{\lambda})^2

Given λ=0.05.\lambda=0.05. Then

E(X)=10.05=20,σ=σ2=10.05=20E(X)=\dfrac{1}{0.05}=20, \sigma=\sqrt{\sigma^2}=\dfrac{1}{0.05}=20
