Let A be the event of passing statistics and probability,

B - the event of passing basic calculus,

A \cap B - the event of passing both subjects.

The probability of pass at least one of these two subjects:

P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)P(AB)==0.65+0.520.45==0.72=72%.P(A\cup B) =P(A) +P(B) - P(A\cap B) =\\=0.65+0.52-0.45=\\=0.72=72\%.
