CV=σμ100CV=\frac{\sigma}{\mu}*100 %

Variety A

Mean =12+8+10+11+145=11=\frac{12+8+10+11+14}{5}=11

Standard deviation =x2Nμ2=6255112=4=2=\sqrt{\frac{∑x^2}{N}-\mu^2}=\sqrt{\frac{625}{5}-11^2}=\sqrt{4}=2

CV =σμ100=\frac{\sigma}{\mu}*100 % =211100=\frac{2}{11}*100 % =18.18=18.18 %

Variety B

Mean =15+9+7+12+125=11=\frac{15+9+7+12+12}{5}=11

Standard deviation =x2Nμ2=6435112=7.6=2.76=\sqrt{\frac{∑x^2}{N}-\mu^2}=\sqrt{\frac{643}{5}-11^2}=\sqrt{7.6}=2.76

CV =2.7611100=\frac{2.76}{11}*100 % =25.09=25.09 %

Variety A is more consistent as it has the least CV value.
