Given that P(Z) = "\\frac{Z+1}{20}"

For Z=1,2,3,4,5.

Then:

"E(Z)=\\sum(Z.P(Z))"

= 1*P(1) + 2*P(2) + 3*P(3) + 4*P(4) + 5*P(5)

= (1)(2/20) + (2)(3/20) + (3)(4/20) + (4)(5/20) + (5)(6/20)

=2/20 + 6/20 + 12/20 + 20/20 + 30/20 =70/2

= 3.5.

Answer: Mean of Z =3.5
