i.

P(AB)=P(A)P(B)=0.3(0.5)=0.15P(A\cap B)=P(A)P(B)=0.3(0.5)=0.15

P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)P(AB)P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)

=0.3+0.50.15=0.65=0.3+0.5-0.15=0.65

ii.

P(AB)=0.650.3+0.5=P(A)+P(B)P(A\cup B)=0.65\not=0.3+0.5=P(A)+P(B)

A and B are not mutually exclusive.
