Make four equal-distance marks on the horizontal axis (OX). Fill in the blanks with the names of the villages. Draw a vertical bar (or line) that reaches 600 at the Bear Creek mark. Bear Creek's population is represented by this bar. Similarly, for the second village, draw vertical bars that get 300, 400, and 100. Write 'Village' and 'Population' next to OX and OY, then fill in the rest of the graph. You may additionally mention the graph's scale.
A similar bar graph may be created by drawing horizontal bars or lines. The population scale is represented on the horizontal axis (OX) in this case, as illustrated below.
