To examine the effectiveness of a print advertising in a local newspaper for a department store a sample of respondents was selected at random. The sample was randomly split into two groups each having Same number of respondents. They were first interviewed regarding their attitude towards the store. Members of only one group were then exposed to the print ad in the newspaper the two groups were again interviewed to obtain their attitude towards the departmental store.
Identify the design used. Show diagram of experiment. State the dependent variable, treatment variable and extraneous variables that would affect internal validity of the above experiment.
The design used here is the Systematic Non-Random sampling.
