According to question ,

AB=23,BA=15,AB=2|A-B|=23 ,|B-A|=15,|A\cap B|=2 and (AB)c=2x|(A\cup B)^c|=2x

Let Ω=\varOmega= Total number of student.

Therefore Ω=50|\varOmega|=50

Which is represented by venndiagram as follow

We know that from basic set theory ,

AB=A+BAB|A\cup B|=|A|+|B|-|A\cap B|

    AB=23+152=36\implies |A\cup B|=23+15-2=36

Now (AB)c=|(A\cup B)^c| = ΩAB=5036=14|\varOmega|-|A\cup B|=50-36=14

    2x=14\implies 2x=14

    x=7\implies x=7
