Answer on Question #40711 – Math - Other

A Unit plan is a broad topic that will be taught over a period involving many lessons. A Daily lesson plan is the plan for one lesson of an hour (more or less).

A lesson plan is actually smaller and focuses on a specific topic within the Unit. It may take only a day, but usually no longer than a week.

We can see differences on these examples:

A unit plan:

- Ex. I. The Revolutionary War

- A. The Causes

- B. The People

- C. The Events leading up to the first Confrontation

- D. The Battles and so on.

A lesson plan:

- The Introduction

- The Review of the Previous Lesson

- The Teaching of the Concept/Skill

- The Group Practice

- The Independent Practice

- The Closure
