Answer to Question #261201 in Math for Shabber

Question #261201

Maximum Power Transfer

The Maximum Power Transfer Theorem states that the maximum amount of power will be dissipated by a load resistance when that load resistance is equal to the Thevenin/Norton resistance of the network supplying the power. You are requested to demonstrate this by calculating the power dissipated in the load of your ‘original’ Thevenin equivalent circuit (see task 1) when the load resistance is;

a) ½ of your Thevenin resistance

b) Equal to your Thevenin resistance

c) 2 times your Thevenin resistance

d) Verify your calculations using the Proteus software package

(It is important that you import your Proteus circuits into WORD as part of your submission.)
