Given, The requirement and availability of transportation problem are integer.


Then Optimal solution is also a integer.



For balanced problem: total supply=total demand.

In process we perform only addition and subtraction with integers.


Hence, the given statements is true.


Example-


Suppose the requirement and availability are 3 and 5.


so Optimal solution will be calculated by performing mathematical operation on the above two integer. So we get integer.
