Two vectors of magnitude p and 2p are acting at apoint, if p is made doubled 2p is increased by 10 units then the direction of the resultant remaining unaltered. Find the value of p?

If the the direction of the resultant is remaining unaltered, the ratio of two vectors before tranformation and after it is the same:
p/2p = 2p/(2p+10)
2p+10 = 4p
2p = 10
p = 5.
