If you have an object with four Rectangular faces.Can you be sure that it is actually a rectangular prism? If you think you cannot be sure, explain why.

Polygon: A plane figure bounded by a number of straight sides. 

Prism: A polyhedron with two parallel opposite faces, called bases that are congruent polygons. All the other faces, called lateral faces, are rectangles formed by the straight parallel lines between corresponding vertices on the bases. 

Rectangular prism: See prism. Has rectangular bases and four lateral faces. 

Hence rectangular prism has six rectangular faces. 


Therefore the object with four Rectangular faces will not be a rectangular prism.
