Let's suppose that XX is a set with element xx and that YY is a set with element yy. If we multiply two sets X×YX×Y, all their elements will be in this new set. And if elements xx and yy converge in sets XX and YY respectively, their product x×yx×y will converge in the set X×YX×Y. Q.E.D.
