Answer on Question #80437 – Math – Discrete Mathematics

Question

Draw a Venn diagram of sets B, A and C where AA \cdot \subseteq, BACB \wedge A \cap C \neq \emptyset, BC=B \cap C = \emptyset. What is the universal set you have chosen? Justify your choice of sets in the diagram.

Solution

If ABA \subseteq B, then ACBCA \cap C \subseteq B \cap C. Hence BCB \cap C shouldn't be empty because ACA \cap C isn't empty.

Answer: it is impossible.
