Consider the example.

We have sets A={1,2,3} and B={4,5}

Cartesian product of AB is {(1,4),(1,5),(2,4),(2,5),(3,4),(3,5)}

Cartesian product can be written as

Applications:

Set theory is used in almost every discipline including engineering, business, medical and related health sciences, along with the natural sciences.
