I'm confused by the fact that if we square all the numbers between 2 and 3 then they will lie between 4 and 9. Therefore can we say that the number of numbers between 2 and 3 is more than that between 4 and 5(say)?

If we want to know the number of real numbers between two real numbers (for example 2 and 3), we cannot say this number of numbers, because it is infinity. The same situation with 4 and 5. So we cannot compare the two infinities.
