If you want to talk a total of 7 minutes: for the first 2 minutes you will have to pay and third minute would be free, for 4th and 5th minutes you will have to pay and 6th minute would be free, so for 7th minute you will have to pay. Total number of minutes you will have to pay is 2+2+1=5 minutes.

Answer: 5 minutes.
