Answer to Question #9686 in Algebra for Natalie Jones

Question #9686
Hi this is Natalie I wish I had a textbook for your class because it would make doing work for your class so muck easier. I am confused about problems 13 and 14 and 7,8 and 9 on the next page. If you couls email me back and give me instruction to help me solve these problems before Wednesday I would appreciate it.

13.) The ratio of the side lenghts of a triangle is 4: 7: 9. The perimeter of the triangle is 120ft. Find the side lengths. Then classify the triangle by it's side lengths.

14.) A sailboat flies the flag of a sailing club. The ratio of the side lenghts of the flag is 9: 9: 11. The perimeter of the flag is 116 inches. Find the side lengths. Then classify the triangle by it's side lenghts.

For a circle the given circumference C, find the radius and diameter of the circle. Round to the nearest whole number.
C=63m C=91ft C=132in.
Please give me instruction on how to do this before Wednesday.

13.) The ratio of the side lenghts of a triangle is 4: 7: 9. The perimeter of the triangle is 120ft. Find the side lengths. Then classify the triangle by it's side lengths.
Let's denote sides as 4x,7x,9x
So we have 4x+7x+9x=120
20x=120
x=6
So the sides are 24,42,54

14.) A sailboat flies the flag of a sailing club. The ratio of the side lenghts of the flag is 9: 9: 11. The perimeter of the flag is 116 inches. Find the side lengths. Then classify the triangle by it's side lenghts.

Let's denote sides as 9x,9x,11x, So we have
9x+9x+11x=116
29x=116
x=4
So the sides are 36,36,66
This triangle has two same sides so it's equilateral

For a circle the given circumference C, find the radius and diameter of the circle. Round to the nearest whole number.
C=63m C=91ft C=132in.

Circuference of a circle C=2 pie R=pie D where R-radius, D-diameter. Using this formula you can find required values
