Answer: Let x is one train's speed, than other train's speed will be x+12. So, their overall rate we can write as x+(x+12). We know, that trains started from the same station at the same time and in 5 hours, they were 532 km apart. Write equation of their movement according this information: (x+(x+12))*5=532 (2x+12)*5=532 10x=532-60 10x=472 x=47,2 km/h - rate of the slower train. 47,2+12=59,2 km/h - rate of the faster train.
