We have this number equal to 1.03.

The population equation is:

p(t)=(14000)(1.03)tp(t)=(14 000)*(1.03)^{t} -- where t is the number of years.

So :

p(6)=(14000)(1.03)6=16716.73=16717p(6)=(14 000)*(1.03)^{6}=16716.73=16717
