Answer to Question #328438 in Algebra for KIN

Question #328438

Reflect on the concept of function. What concepts (only the names) did you need to accommodate the concept of function in your mind? What is the simplest function you can imagine? In your day to day, is there any occurring fact that can be interpreted as a function? Is it possible to view a function? What strategy are you using to get the graph of a function?

Function is an expression, rule, or law that defines a relationship between one variable (the independent variable) and another variable (the dependent variable).

“A function is a mathematical tool to help us manage how two values change together".

The exponent is the power to which a number is raised. So that’s one concept. The other concept is the inverse function. The inverse function to taking a power is taking a logarithm. The inverse function to taking a logarithm is taking a power.

The simplest of all types of real-valued functions are the constant functions. A constant function is a

function which takes the same value for f(x) no matter what x is. When we are talking about a generic

constant function, we usually write f(x) = c, where c is some unspecified constants

Real life situation for linear function is when we apply force on a block it accelerates and it goes on increasing as force is increasing.

To view a function we can make a graph of it. To do that we should choose sone values for one variable and using function calculate value if other variables. So we get the table of values, each row of that is a point. Then we should draw this points on graph.
