A function is a relation from a set of inputs to a set of possible outputs where each input(independent Variable) is related to exactly one output( Dependent Variable)Let say that x representsthe input, y representsthe output, and f represents the function then y= f(x)

The concepts that I needed to apply the concept of a function includes

• Modelling population growth
• Modelling bacterial growth
• Modelling death rates
• Modelling production during a given period of time
• Modelling performance of students

The simplest function that I can imagine is the quadratic function like $f(x)=2x^2+5x-7$

In my day to day, there is occurring fact that can be interpreted as a function. The occurring fact is the modeling of production of various products over time.

The strategy that I am using to get the graph of a function is by constructing a table having various independent variables with respective dependent variables and plotting this values on a graph to get the graph.
