The slope of Conveyor 1 is tanα=84=2\tan \alpha=\frac {8} {4}=2,

α=arctan(2)=63.42°\alpha = \arctan(2) = 63.42\degree .

2.The slope of Conveyor 2 is tanβ=217=3\tan\beta =\frac {-21} {7} =- 3,

β=arctan(3)71.56°\beta = \arctan(-3) \approx -71.56\degree.

It means the second conveyor belt is steeper.
