Suppose teacher Li bought xx apples. Then he bought 50x50-x oranges.

If you buy 10 more oranges, the number of oranges will be twice that of apples

2x=50x+102x=50-x+10

2x+x=602x+x=60

3x=603x=60

x=20x=20

5020=3050-20=30

Teacher Li bought 2020 apples and 3030 oranges.
