An oven is turned on at room temperature or 20 C and it takes 10 minutes to reach a temperature of 175C. A tray of cookies is placed in the oven to bake for 15 minutes. The oven is turned off and returns to 20C in 20 minutes. Label each section of the graph
Let's plot the graph time(t) versus degree in celcius.
When oven is turned on (i.e.t=0) temperature is 20°C.
After 10 minutes (i.e. t=10) temperature is 175°C. Then cookies are placed in oven at 175°C till 15 minutes.
Therefore till t=25, temperature is 175°C.
Then oven is turned off and it returns to 20°C in 20 min i.e.when t= 45, temperature is 20°C.
in short:
when time=0, temperature=20(point A)
when time=10, temperature=175(point B)
when time=25, temperature=175(point C)
when time=45, temperature=20(point D)
lets plot these points on the graph
A=(0,20)
B=(10,175)
C=(25,175)
D=(45,20)
