$$\frac{1}{6} + \frac{5}{6}= \frac{1+5}{6}=\frac{6}{6}=1$$

b.

$$\frac{1}{5} + \frac{3}{5}= \frac{1+3}{5}=\frac{4}{5}$$

c.

$$\frac{2}{9} + \frac{5}{9}= \frac{2+5}{9}=\frac{7}{9}$$

d.

$$\frac{1}{8} + \frac{2}{8}= \frac{1+2}{8}=\frac{3}{8}$$

e.

$$\frac{3}{12} + \frac{5}{12}= \frac{3+5}{12}=\frac{8}{12}$$
