It is quite possible that the LVM is infact LCM or Least Common Multiple. Thus, the LCM for 2p2, 6pq and 4q2 is the lowest possible value, which could be divided by each of the listed monomials. Lets list all integers of the listed monomials: 2, p, p2, 2, 3, p, q, 2, 4, q, q2. Further, striking out the repeating integers and their multiplication together gives us the value of the LCM - 12p2q2.
