Perimeter of the scaled drawing:

=8+15+17=40cm

40cm rep 160m

Therefore, scale=1:4 i.e.

40:160=

1:4

Thus using this scale, the scaled shortest length, 8cm , in actual field is

84=32m

Thus shortest length is 32 meters
