John is carrying 2kg more than than his sister, and the sum of their weights is 21 years. Find the weight they are carrying.

Ans:-

Let the weight carried by his sister$=$ $x$ kg

so weight carried by john$=$ $x+2$ kg

Now according to question

$\Rightarrow$ $x+x+2=21$

$\Rightarrow 2x=19$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=9.5$ kg

Hence the weight carried by his sister is 9.5 kg and weight carried by John is 11.5 kg
