To find the number of window panes there are :

  1. We have to find how much window panes are in each window
  2. It will be (4 x4 ) = 16
  3. But, due to the similarities involved in 4, we can raise 4 to the power of two.
  4. We know that panels per window multiplied by the number of windows equals to the total number of planes.
  5. Part A

Total number of windows = 12 x 42.


Part B

First, we have to solve the exponential 42 which will be equals to 16, then multiply by 12

12 x 16

192 Windows.
