Cross-multiplying, we have;

$\begin{aligned}x = \frac{2}{5} × 260.87 = 104.35\textsf{ parts per hour} \end{aligned}$

$\begin{aligned} \textsf{number of hours} &= \textsf{parts} ÷ \textsf{parts per hour}\\ &= \dfrac{600}{104.35}\\ &= 5.75\ hours \end{aligned}$

$\therefore$ It will take 2 machines 5.75 hours (5 hours 45 minutes) to make 600 part.
