Let "x" = the number of drinks

since she buys twice as many granola bars as energy drinks.

Granola = "2x"

If she spends $27 in total and price of granola bars and energy drink are $0.50 an $2 respectively.

Hence

"0.50(2x)+2(x)=27" dollars

"x+2x=27" dollars

"3x=27"

"x=9"

Hence number of drinks is "9"

Granola = "2(9)=18"

She bought 9 energy drinks and 18 granola
