For example, the in the triangle are a1=90°, a2=45°, a3=45°

Then part-to-part ratio is 90 to 45 to or 90:45:45. That is three-term ratio.

1.2 Algebra

If we have 2 apples and 3 origins on the plate, the part-to-part ratio is: 2 to 3 or 2:3. That is two-term ratio.

1.3 Probability

When we flip a coin chance of a coin falling side 1 is 50%, falling side 2 is 50%. Then the part-to-part ratio is 50 to 50 or 50:50.

2. Let one part will be - x. Then lengths of sides of triangle are: 3x, 4x,5x. Perimeter of triangle is the sum of lengths of it sides.

So 3x+4x+5x=72 cm

12x=72cm

x=6cm

The length of the lagest side is 5x=30 cm.

Answer: 30 cm
