The two brothers, Andile and Beki want to join gym for some months and hence they have to determine how much they will pay for it.

Therefore the input variable i.e. the independent variable x will be the number of months that they will be gymming. The output variable i.e. the dependent variable will be the amount of money they will have to pay for the duration. This can be represented as shown below:

Andile for Aerolux gym; y = 125x where 0 ≤ x ≤ 12

Beki for Bodyworx gym; y = 250 + 100x where 0 ≤ x ≤ 12
