Managers differ from non managerial employees in several ways. Managers usually have very strong leadership skills that is why they take responsibility of running processes. Level of responsibilities for non managerial employees usually is not high. Strategic decisions will be taken by managers and usually execution of that decisions and some tactic issues will be responsibility for non managerial employees. Different ways and approaches for motivation should be used for managers and non managerial employees. This two types of workers have different needs that must be covered by their leaders. For non managerial employees money is the motivation. For Managers different types of benefits (incentive trips, bonuses, promotions etc. could be acceptable.
