Kabelo is the owner of Lakka Bakery. The head baker, Fana, took two weeks’ sick leave. Sivu is a junior baker who completed Grade 12 three years ago and has been working for Lakka Bakery ever since, while Beulah is a retired teacher and a new baker, recently hired. Sivu and Beulah could not cope with the orders by themselves. Kabelo started to assist with icing and decorating the cupcakes, as well as with packaging and deliveries. In between all these responsibilities, she still performs all the management activities. Orders from customers are demanding and the business is doing well. However, Kabelo starts suffering from headaches and backache. She has started drinking more coffee and is working long hours to complete all the orders in time. She does not want to decline any orders from customers but realises she can no longer cope. She has picked up weight, has no time to exercise and constantly feels drained.
