As the district manager for a region of retail discount clothing stores, Henry Banks is preparing for a quarterly meeting with all of the store managers in his district. As part of a presentation about company hiring practices, he plans to stress the importance of diversity. He knows the company needs a diverse workforce to meet the needs of the company’s diverse customer base; however, he is not sure how to convey this to the group of store managers.

Diversity at workplace refers to having to employees from different backgrounds.Diversity includes gender, race, ethnicity, sex, citizenship and even educational backgorund.

Henry should tell the managers about benefits and the importance of diversification at the workplace. This may include: Firstly, new ideas that come with new employees. New employees bring with them new perspectives that are sourced from their diverse cultural backgrounds. Secondly, a workplace that is diversified helps firms to better understand the target demographics and their motivational sources. Finally, employee diversification help increase customer satisfaction through improving the way in which employees interact with the diverse public. Employees realtions are also improved through diversification.
