If you will be given a chance to speak your mind about the current status of labor and employment in the Philippines, what will your advocacy be?
Status of labor and employment in the Philippines
The Philippines are facing a tough situation in their employment and labor sectors. I would recommend changes in strategies of curbing unemployment and increasing labor resources. These can be achieved through various ways, like the country sustaining its economic growth rates, which gives higher chances of employers to offer job opportunities to the unemployed. Employers who help unemployed workers can greatly impact if they create the same effect on other employees. However, there is a need to measure the economic stability of the government and the stability it can provide. Moreover, reducing occupational mobility can be the most reliable way of curbing the situation in the Philippines and other countries facing the same challenge (Munawar et al., 2021). Impacting the graduates and unemployed with extra practical skills can gain them more skills and knowledge, making them more suitable for larger pools of jobs. Â
