Conflict handling styles used in relation to the issue of structural change at SFD

Struggle for development (SFD) was founded in 2014 by a group of students. During its growth, there were conflicts arising between the employees and the management committee realized and it called for alarm.  They felt like the leaders were not doing effective work, others were resigning rapidly and they ended up employing new senior positions. It caused tension among employees during board meeting and generally at work. These conflicts could be solved through accommodating and avoiding. Accommodating involves putting other people before your own needs. People can be more cooperative by giving in to wishes or demands of other employees to avoid being assertive. Avoiding aims at reducing conflict by assuming it, evading it or removing the affected people (Raw et al., 2021). Through this, employees will avoid direct confrontations through changing subjects, ignoring a subject or stopping discussion to avoid raising conflicts with others.
