Perception management is less effective in the current work from home strategy, these are because some employees are under less or no supervision, may neglect jobs, and do other things outside work. furthermore, in case, there is an agent and important communication from the management, the message may be delayed to reach the target audience and also misinterpreted. Therefore negatively affecting the overall management performance.
The management should pull in place some measures to ensure work from the home strategy is effective. Thus the following steps should be followed to change the perception of working from home
1. Evaluate the current proces and policies especially those that direct to organizational performance and determine if they can be fair to both workers while working from home.
2. Employee should be prepared to work from home
3. The management should implement or improve the existing technology to ensure an effective outcome when working from home.
4. the management should set effective routines, boundaries, and follow-ups to ensure workers remain socially engaged using online communication tools such as WebEx, WhatsApp, zoom among others to maintain the firm culture.
5. The management should still provide a shared office where employees can come for important conferences to sustain the sense of interaction with their coworkers.
