List and describe using relevant examples, the five Tuckman's stages of team development.
According to Bruce Tuckman, group formation goes through five stages, and these include; forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning. These stages are based on the time they start to meet as a group until the time the project ends. Forming is the first stage of team development. Members are introduced to their team members. In storming stage, here, the concept of task completion hits the team members, and they now feel obligated. The norming stage is where now each member's efforts are noticed and appreciated. In the performance stage, members feel confident, motivated and familiar enough with the project. Finally comes the Adjourning stage; this is the stage where the team is disbanded though not a happy stage. Thus all these defines the team formation stages.
