How could public transportation reimagine itself to meet the mobility needs of young people?
Young people's mobility requirements are already being met by public transit systems that run consistently and on schedule. The issue is that many young people who have grown up in rich and, yes, spoilt environments believe that public transportation should be treated as if it were a personal taxi service for everyone. As a result, they are less likely to support public transportation (for reasons of convenience and privacy) at a time when public transportation in metropolitan areas need more widespread support. Expanding public transportation services with more feeder lines to other transportation hubs would suffice to meet convenience demands.
