Every business is viewed as an open system because it can exchange ideas and feedbacks with its external environment with the aim of learning and making good use of their resources in the organization. Important aspects in the open system mainly include boundaries, external environment and finally the equifinality.
The external environment has a lot of influence and needs which organization has no direct control and if not well observed and taken care of, it can impact the organization negatively. The majority include political, economical, ecological, societal and technological influence. Keen organizations regularly exchange feedbacks with the external environment to understand their needs and keep them ahead of their competitors.
Equifinality means that the organization can achieve similar results even by using different strategies. This can be done using same inputs and different process or different inputs and the same process as there is no specific one way to accomplish the results in the open system.
