Due to the increasing global pressure, developing countries labor market, such as the South Pacific Island Countries, are contracting and competing with the developed and open market economies in a level playing field with ‘one size fits all’ policy. Identify, examine and evaluate at least 5 major employment relation issues and trends or changes that are experienced in your country or any South Pacific Island Country that you think better explain such pressure. Provide specific and relevant examples to support your argument.

Due to nicerasingly widespread phenomenon of dependent workers who lack protection because of one or a combination, In our country, the employment relation issues arise as seen from the following trends:
(I) the scope of the law is too narrow or it is too narrowly interpreted.
(II) the law is poorly or ambiguously formulated so that its scope is unclear.
(III) the employment relationship is disguised;
the relationship is objectively ambiguous, giving rise to doubt as to whether or not an employment relationship really exists.
(IV) the employment relationship clearly exists but it is not clear who the employer is, what rights the worker has and who is responsible for them.
(V) Lack of compliance and enforcement.
