The three theoretical perspectives include; structural-functionalism, Symbolic interactionism, and conflict perspective. These perspectives offer sociologists theoretical paradigms for explaining how society influences people, and vice versa. Each perspective uniquely conceptualizes society, social forces, and human behavior.

Positivism is using brief, clear, concise discussion and does not use a descriptive story from human feelings or subjective interpretation. It does not allow any interpretation because of the value-free reason. The research reflects some theories or basic concepts and applies them to the object of study.

A humanistic approach to therapy is distinct from cognitive or behavioral approaches. Instead of a medicine-centered or research-centered approach to therapy, the humanistic perspective encourages an approach that focuses on the individual person, their individual needs, and improving self-awareness. The core values of the humanistic theory include the following: human beings supersede the sum of their parts; human beings have their existence in a uniquely human context, as well as in a cosmic ecology, and human beings are conscious they are aware and aware of being aware both of oneself and in their environment.

Interpretive approaches encompass social theories and perspectives that embrace a view of reality as socially constructed or made meaningful through actors' understanding of events. In organizational communication, scholars focus on the complexities of meaning as enacted in symbols, language, and social interactions. The underlying idea of the interpretive approach is that the researcher is part of the research, interprets data, and as such can never be fully objective and removed from the research.

Critical Approaches are different perspectives we consider when looking at a piece of literature. They seek to give us answers to these questions, in addition to aiding us in interpreting literature. They reveal how or why a particular work is constructed and what its social and cultural implications are. Understanding critical perspectives will help you to see and appreciate a literary work as a multilayered construct of meaning.
